Ongshi’s ‘Sponsor a Child’ project sponsors orphans and poor children in Bangladesh. Children in poor families need support to raise their kids. We provide food, clothing, education costs for the kids for appx $30/month or appx dollar-a-day.
Ongshi partners with multiple reputable organizations in Bangladesh to sponsor children.
- Monthly or yearly subscription for sponsoring kids available
- A detailed breakdown of cost provided (food, clothing, education, health etc)
- Zakat eligible recipients available
- Sponsors may be able to communicate with sponsored children for their progress.
- High School students can also sponsor a child and earn volunteer hours with Ongshi. Students can communicate with the children from time to time.

9-year-old math prodigy Abdullah Al Amin
Abdullah Al Amin has drawn attention by demonstrating extraordinary proficiency in mathematics at the age of just nine years and nine months. Many are calling this child, who grew up amidst poverty and malnutrition, a ‘mathematical prodigy’. Even teachers from the Department of Mathematics at the University of Dhaka and officials of the Bangladesh Mathematical Society are impressed by his extraordinary talent. At an event, he astonished everyone by solving complex problems in Calculus and Physics. At the same time, young Abdullah is preparing for both the Cambridge curriculum O-Level and A-Level examinations. Currently, Abdullah Al Amin is preparing on his own for the O-Level examinations in Additional Mathematics, Math D, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Further Math, as well as the A-Level examinations in Mathematics (9709), Further Mathematics (9231), and Physics (9702). At this young age, he can quickly solve problems ranging from discrete mathematics to complex calculus. Furthermore, his boundless interest in various complex topics in physics has astonished everyone.
